From the very beginning of their adventure together in Athens and throughout The Aegean Islands, Athens & Istanbul, Toni was impressed by her Trip Experience Leader Nancy Androutsopoulou—prompting her show her gratitude with a poem.
Following her The Aegean Islands, Athens & Istanbul Small Ship Adventure, Toni was inspired to pen the following verse for her Trip Experience Leader—"In gratitude for the joy you shared with us on our journey through Greece and beyond."

Trip Experience Leader extraordinaire Nancy Androutsopoulou.
In Athens where our tale began,
Beneath Acropolis skies so grand,
We met sweet Nancy, smile so wide,
Our shining light, our heart, our guide.
With songs that danced upon the air,
She led with kindness, deep and rare.
Each morning bright, each restful night,
She met us with pure joy and light.
Through ruins rich with ancient lore,
She opened up each sacred door.
The Parthenon stood proud and true,
As we beheld its marble hue.
From rooftop bars with views divine,
To laughter shared with food and wine.
In Delphi’s quiet mountain breeze,
She showed us temples, olive trees.
Where Oracles once shaped the fate,
We learned from her—she made it great.
And at the honey farm, we found,
That bees make life go round and round.
In Meteora’s skies so high,
Monasteries touched clouds and sky.
We dined with locals, broke their bread,
And heard of saints and tears they shed.
Nancy, always close at hand,
Helped us to truly understand.
Then came the ship—the Arethusa‘s grace,
Our journey through the isles took place.
From Syros white to Mykonos bold,
Each island’s charm began to unfold.
In Paros, peace. In Santorini, sun—
Despite the crowds, we found the fun.
In Kalymnos, where divers dive,
The sponge men’s tales still feel alive.
And Patmos brought us sacred ground,
Where St. John’s holy words were found.
We traced the cracks in stone with care,
And felt a kind of silence there.
Ephesus stood in marble might,
With weavers’ threads a pure delight.
Then Istanbul with minarets tall,
The Hagia Sophia’s ancient call.
A spa, a cruise, a Blue Mosque view—
And always Nancy pulling through.
She gave us more than just a tour,
She showed us what a heart is for.
With every smile, with every song,
She made us feel that we belong.
To Greece, to time, to joy, to grace—
She brought us to a sacred place.
So now we part, but never quite,
For Nancy’s warmth still holds us tight.
Her voice, her laugh, her gentle way—
Are souvenirs we’ll keep each day.
Though bags are packed and trails must bend,
We hate for this to reach the end.
But in our hearts, we all agree:
The best of Greece was Nancy.
