No. Once your trip begins, your Trip Experience Leader will take care of you and your group, every step of the way.

Without at least 11 travelers on an OAT Land or Small Ship Adventure, no group discount will be issued. You may, however be eligible to receive referral credit for a future OAT adventure through our Vacation Ambassador program.
Secure a private departure for your friends, family, and travel companions with as few as five travelers. Additional cost will apply depending on the number of travelers you book in your Group, but you will be GUARANTEED a private departure with your own Trip Experience Leader upon notifying the Groups team at the time of booking.
Please note: Vacation Ambassador incentives cannot be combined with Group Leader incentives.

You can write a letter to your prospective travelers, accompanied by an Overseas Adventure Travel catalog that includes details of your trip. Or, refer your group to our website for more trip information. Additionally, we can provide promotional materials upon request. We’ll create personalized flyers unique to your group. As a Group Leader, this material can be sent to your group members, providing them with information about the trip.

Our reservation system keeps all of our travelers on an automated timeline. By providing us with a deposit, you, the Group Leader, will receive all the information your group passengers receive along the way. Plus, the deposit allows us to block space for your group, once the reservation is made.

Free trip is based upon average amount paid per person, including the tour price, extensions, and air add-ons; excludes taxes, Travel Protection Plan, air upgrades, and all other discounts. Free trip compensation requires a total group of at least eleven paying travelers for all Land or Small Ship Adventure, and will be reimbursed to you via check upon departure. All African safaris require a group to fill the departure date.

Yes, we recommend it. Your Group Sales Representative will provide you with a Group Number and Service Code after you become a Group Leader. Your group members need to provide this information when they make their reservation, to ensure you are properly credited.

It depends on the size of your group. If you don't fill the entire trip, we will fill the remaining spaces with other OAT travelers unless you’ve arranged a private departure. Call for details.
