Optional Tours

During your trip, you will have the opportunity to join optional tours to further your discoveries—all of which are noted below. Most of these tours can only be reserved onsite with your Trip Experience Leader, however due to limited space and other special requirements, some optional tours must be reserved before your departure from the U.S. If this trip has optional tours that need to be purchased in advance, they will be noted with a disclaimer below.

Ston

Day 9 | $135 per person

Discover more of Dalmatia's treasures on this optional tour, which begins at the Ston salt pans. These naturally occurring flats are the oldest in Europe, and the salt they produced was responsible for the early prosperity of the Dubrovnik Republic. Then, we'll continue on to a nearby winery, where we'll taste a selection of vintages and liqueurs produced on site. Our tour concludes with an oyster experience, which will allow us to sail through a nearby bay and witness the oyster harvesting process before sampling the fresh catch and savoring a lunch featuring these prized mollusks.

Krka Falls

Day 13 | $105 per person

Krka Falls is a series of spectacular cascading waterfalls that comprise one of Croatia’s true natural wonders. Over millennia, the Krka River has carved canyons into the surrounding limestone of the Dinara Mountains, creating a spectacular landscape where you’ll view the river’s waterfalls cascading over and around lush, dense vegetation. You’ll also explore the surrounding Krka National Park, which is home to abundant indigenous flora and fauna, including over 200 bird species. It’s a memorable excursion to one of Croatia’s most pristine locales.
