Our Travel Protection Plan
Life happens along the way
We offer a Travel Protection Plan in partnership with Trip Mate, which can help you navigate the unexpected by protecting your investment both before and during your trip.
- Cancel any time—and retain the full value of your trip up to the day of departure (Non-insurance Cancellation Waiver provided by Overseas Adventure Travel)
- Includes primary medical expense coverage
- 24/7 Non-Insurance Emergency Assistance for on-trip medical emergencies
- 10-day Free Look Period for plan cancellation and refund
It’s always best to plan ahead
For the best coverage, purchase our Travel Protection Plan when you reserve your trip. It is important that you have coverage if you have a pre-existing condition. You will also be covered if a condition develops prior to your departure.
Retain up to 100% cash reimbursement of your trip cost if you need to cancel due to a PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION. You must be able to travel at the time you purchase this plan, and you must buy the plan within 14 days of making your initial trip deposit.
Plus, if you change your mind about purchasing the plan, you can receive a full refund under the 10-day Free Look Period. Terms apply.
PART A*: BENEFITS BEFORE YOU TRAVEL:
- NON-INSURANCE CANCELLATION WAIVER
- NO AGE RESTRICTIONS: Our prices will NEVER go up based on age, unlike other plans which may have a higher plan cost.
- CANCEL FOR ANY REASON: If you must cancel your trip, even up to the day of departure, you’ll retain the full value of your trip, including your deposit. You will be reimbursed in cash for certain specified reasons; for any other reason other than a specified reason, you can receive a travel voucher.
It is important to have your coverage prior to traveling and while you are on your adventure. Find plan documents here.
PART B TRAVEL INSURANCE BENEFITS**:
- TRIP INTERRUPTION: Protects up to 150% of Trip Cost (more than the price of your trip) in the event of a trip interruption, while other plans may only cover the base cost of your trip.
- TRIP DELAY: Provides benefits up to $400 per day (up to $2,000) for reasonable expenses—such as meals, lodging, and additional transportation—when you are delayed twelve consecutive hours or more for a covered reason.
- MISSED CONNECTION: $2,000.
- BAGGAGE DELAY: $300 per day (up to $1,500).
- BAGGAGE & PERSONAL EFFECTS: Up to $3,000.
Medical Expense
- PRIMARY COVERAGE: Submit medical expenses directly to Trip Mate, who will send payments for payable medical expenses in a timely manner. This benefit can be greatly preferred to plans that only offer secondary coverage, where you must submit your expenses to your own insurance first—if not fully paid for, you will then have to submit to the plan insurance provider.
- ACCIDENT & SICKNESS MEDICAL EXPENSE: Up to $50,000 in medical expenses and increased coverage in emergency dental expenses—was $750, NOW $1,000.
- 24-HOUR ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT: Up to $25,000.
- MEDICAL EVACUATION AND REPATRIATION OF REMAINS: Up to $500,000 in medical evacuation and repatriation of remains.
Coverage and maximum amounts may vary by state and may not be available in all states. Please visit the TripMate website for details and important disclosures.
