Physical requirements
- Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids
- You must be able to walk approximately 3 miles unassisted in hot, humid weather each day, and be comfortable participating in several hours of daily physical activities. Includes an elective hike of 45 minutes up Mount Sugarloaf.
- We reserve the right for Trip Experience Leaders to restrict participation, or in some circumstances send travelers home, if their limitations impact the group’s experience

- Tropical climate with high temperatures and humidity
- Frequent rain year-round
Terrain & Transportation
- Travel on city streets, rugged paths, and unpaved roads, and walk over rough, steep, uneven, and sometimes slippery trails without handrails
- Travel by 26-passenger minibus and bicycle
- One internal flight of 2-3 hours

- Hotel rooms are air-conditioned and feature private baths with hot showers
