Physical Requirements
- Walk 3-5 miles unassisted and participate in 6-8 hours of physical activities each day, including stairs
- Not accessible for travelers using wheelchairs or scooters
- We reserve the right for Trip Experience Leaders to restrict participation, or in some circumstances send travelers home, if their limitations impact the group's experience
- You may encounter animals on this trip. We make every effort to keep these encounters safe, however animals may behave unpredictably or dangerously at times. Please use caution when interacting with animals on this trip: Keep a safe distance, stay alert, and respect the animals.
Terrain & Transportation
- Uneven walking surfaces, including unpaved paths, hills, stairs, and cobblestones, which can be slick in wet
- Travel on some rugged paths and many cobblestoned streets on foot, as well as over bumpy, narrow rural roads by bus
- Ability to climb steep stairs and walk up and downhill is required in several locations
- Travel by 20-53–passenger motor coach, 16-40–passenger boat, and local bus
