Small Group Advantage
No more than 16 travelers by land and 25 travelers by ship, guaranteed
Our small group size of no more than 16 travelers by land and 25 by ship allows us to take you off the beaten path where big tour groups can't go. You'll stay in intimate lodgings unique to your destination; travel like locals do aboard cyclo-rickshaws, canoes, and tuk-tuk motortaxi; and slip seamlessly into local life.
Designed for small groups
Our itineraries are crafted to make the most of our small group advantage, offering a balance of daily discoveries, people-to-people interactions, and the flexibility to go off on your own for independent exploring.

The leader in small ship cruising
Our small ships can navigate narrow passageways and off-the-beaten-path ports larger ships can't reach, allowing you to experience authentic ways of life in your destination. On some itineraries, we visit remote ports that are only accessible by Zodiac craft or tender. Transferring to these vessels will require agility, but if you’re physically suited, it’s a truly adventurous experience.
Connect with locals
When you travel in a small group, you’ll meet locals as they go about their day, and interact with them while learning about their culture. This gives you an authentic glimpse into what life is like in each destination.
Off the beaten path
Our small group size allows us to take the roads—and waterways—less traveled. These routes take you to the villages, the ports, and the sites that might be smaller and less seen, but deliver the richness of the culture.
Closer to nature
Since you’re not restricted to the major routes taken by the big tour operators, your Trip Experience Leader can veer off the main roads to bring you closer to nature and wildlife, and show you a region's true hidden gems.
Local Trip Experience Leaders
Individual travelers get more “one-on-one” time with our local Trip Experience Leaders, who are experts at catering to your needs while imparting valuable insights into local history, culture, nature, and more.
