On 2023 departures, you'll explore aboard the M/V Ocean Diamond, purpose-built to navigate polar waters—making it an ideal expedition ship. Our Arctic expeditions will accommodate 180 passengers, while our European Small Ship Adventures will hold 198 passengers. This exclusively chartered vessel holds seven groups of 20-25 travelers (average of 22), each with its own dedicated Trip Experience Leader. Plus, on our Arctic expedition trips, your discoveries will be further enhanced by our 16-member Expedition Team—some of which are also from our Antarctica adventure’s Expedition Team—who will accompany you throughout your voyage. Onboard, you'll enjoy dedicated attention from our O.A.T.-operated, English-speaking crew; relax and take in the stunning views in indoor and outdoor common areas; and enjoy a journey that is as comfortable as it is immersive. Whether you're traversing the coasts of Europe or exploring the icy wonders of the Arctic, the Ocean Diamond is uniquely suited to carry you from one adventure to the next. Savor internationally inspired cuisine in one of the ship's two open-seating dining rooms (the Main Dining Room is featured here), including the Captain’s Welcome and Farewell Dinners. Both dining rooms are large enough to accommodate all travelers at once, and meals can be tailored to your specific dietary preferences. The dress code is casual, and all meals are served by our friendly, English speaking crew members—leading to a relaxed and convivial experience at every seating.
After a day of exploring, relax, grab a cocktail, and mingle with your fellow travelers in our Club Lounge or Main Lounge, featured here. You'll also engage in Port Talks and other discussions in our Main Lounge during the day and enjoy live entertainment each night.
The Ocean Diamond features six passenger decks with a variety of public spaces, including outdoor seating areas, three lounges, two dining rooms, and a bar. Cabins are located on five of the levels. While all cabins feature outside views (either a balcony, picture window, or porthole), each of the available categories offers its own advantages.
Take in sweeping views of your surroundings from your private balcony on Deck 7. Plus, your cabin is located in close proximity to the window-lined Observation Lounge and one level below the top-most Sun Deck. Elevator service is available between all passenger decks except the Sun Deck, which can only be accessed via stairs.
