Sacred Land: Australia

Posted on 2/13/2018 12:00:00 AM in What We're Watching

A note from independent filmmaker David Conover on why he chose this film:

In Australia, “sacred land” typically refers to landscape that has significant meaning in Aboriginal culture. Sacred sites are meaningful because they are physical representations of the values and relationships Aboriginal tribes have anchored to their land. This short film captures the stillness and beauty of some of these sacred places—trees, plains, rocks, vast sky—and reminds us that in travel, as in at home, you can find the sacred and extraordinary if you could take the time to pause and slow down.

Produced by Kenneth Scott
