A note from independent filmmaker David Conover on why he chose this film:
In this cinematic short film set in the Mediterranean, we fly above Malta’s turquoise water, sandstone shores, and sun-drenched population hubs. Through this view of the island, and of nearby Gozo, we see a great diversity of landscape: terraced farmland, seaside cliffs, natural salt pans, and arid hillsides. There are also telltales of the region’s layered past: watchtowers, Baroque cathedrals, and fortified harbors. Today, fishing boats, cruise ships, and sailing yachts are seen coming and going from the Islands’ ports. A breathtaking look at this storied island!
