Elemental Iceland: Part II

Posted on 11/22/2016 2:27:00 PM in What We're Watching

A note from independent filmmaker David Conover on why he chose this film:

For some reason, the Icelandic landscape inspires time-lapse. Icelandic time-lapse films—like this one from Stian Rekdal—are absolutely gorgeous and they are all over the internet! Why? Perhaps we filmmakers feel that clouds and stars over Iceland move more slowly than anywhere else on earth. We are compelled to speed them up. Or maybe we feel that the geologic clock in this place feels like it should be ticking more quickly, to match Iceland’s raw volcanic drama. What’s your guess? Terrific job, Stian!
