The Leader in Small Groups on the Road Less Traveled
Never more than 10-16 travelers—guaranteed!

Our Privately Owned Fleet

Four-star ships designed with American standards in mind

Our worldwide fleet of privately owned vessels was custom-built or extensively refurbished especially to meet the needs of our travelers. Whether you’re exploring Antarctica or sailing the storied waters of the Mediterranean, you’ll enjoy the warm camaraderie of your exclusively American fellow travelers. Share stories in your ship’s welcoming lounge or relax on the Sun Deck with a cool drink. Enjoy single, open seating; freshly prepared, regionally-inspired cuisine; and unparalleled service in our window-lined dining room. And take comfort in knowing that your ship’s professional staff—all fluent in English—will always be on hand and at your service.

Our Small Ships are Tops!

All of our privately owned small ships were ranked among the “Top 100 Cruise Ships in the World” 2014 Readers’ Poll, with the M/V Artemis and M/V Arethusa taking the top two spots on the “Top 20 Small Cruise Ships in the World” list.

Small ships designed with you in mind
When Grand Circle Cruise Line decided to build our own line of small ships, we polled our travelers to learn what specifications and amenities they desired on a cruise vacation. We took these suggestions and incorporated them into the design of our custom-built Mediterranean small ships, which launched between 1999 and 2007. As the worldwide leader in small ship and river cruising, our entire fleet caters exclusively to American travelers.

Relax in your outside cabin
Because all of our cabins line the outside wall of the ship, you’ll always have views of the passing scenery. Most cabins are 150-215 sq. ft. in area and include twin beds. Each cabin also offers closet and storage space, a desk with vanity mirror, a private bath with shower, a direct-dial telephone, and a flat-screen TV. Certain cabins also feature balconies.

Casual style in an intimate setting
After a day of exploring little-known ports, medieval castles, or ancient ruins, you’ll appreciate the relaxed camaraderie of your private small ship. Sit back and enjoy an aperitif in the bar and lounge. Join friends on the panoramic Sun Deck to watch a sunset. Your English-speaking staff wants you to have an unforgettable experience, and will do whatever they can to see that you do!
