Morocco is one of our planet’s hidden delights. On OAT’s unconventional adventure trip, we visit the classic Imperial Cities of Rabat, Meknes, and Fez. Then we venture well off the beaten track, across the High Atlas range, into narrow desert gorges and through iridescent Saharan landscapes to visit the ancient kasbah fortresses of tribal kings. We visit small villages to learn about traditional life among the Berber and Tuareg tribes. The trip ends in another of Morocco’s Imperial Cities: Marrakesh, for centuries a fabled travelers’ destination.

In the cities, we stay in comfortable hotels with Moroccan character. For two nights, we enjoy the comforts of full-service tented camps, complete with camp beds, sleeping bags and a toilet and shower tent. No trekking is required, but you can go on several optional walks from our private tented camps. Legendary in fable, literature and cinema, Morocco in real life surpasses its romantic reputation. This will be more than a vacation—it’s an unforgettable adventure!
