Meet Grand Circle Associates
Jenny Taladua, Director, Product Calendar & Contracting in Boston
When you come to work and know you can make a difference, big or small—that’s when a workplace becomes a way of life. My colleagues at work come from various cultural, religious, and family backgrounds. Yet what defines all of us is our passion for travel. At Grand Circle, we get the chance to see the world through our own eyes and also through the eyes of our passengers. Grand Circle has been my way of life since 1993. I made great friends at work, I’ve seen a good part of the world, and I intend to see more….
Keith Sheridan, Revenue Analyst in Boston
Working at Grand Circle has allowed me to go places and do things I never thought I would—not only globally, but also locally. In addition to frequent travel benefits, Grand Circle gives its associates countless opportunities to give back to the community at a variety of events throughout the year. It is a great experience to work for a company that not only serves its community both here and abroad, but also offers an unbeatable product for our customers.
Boris Cardenas, Program Director in Peru
Travel was at the heart of my professional education from the very beginning. I earned my license in tourism and management, then studied to become a flight attendant in Lima. To fill my hunger for knowledge, I attended seminars and conferences on history, archaeology, anthropology, geology, and nature. Those studies took me to Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, France, Switzerland, Spain, Holland, England, Egypt, and 8 US states. I joined GCC to follow my passion for people and travel, and I am so glad I did! The adventures we have are the perfect way for me to share my homeland and my many interests with people who love travel and discovery. Our travelers have a real thirst for authenticity, and Grand Circle encourages me to talk with them openly about my country’s most controversial topics. We’ve discussed terrorism, drug dealing, corrupt politics, prostitution, racism, and discrimination. But we also revel in the uplifting experience of Peru, including the magic of the Andes and the role of metaphysical healers in our culture.
Assem Gamal, Trip Leader in Egypt
Growing up surrounded by so many historic sites made me aware of the timelessness of the land around me and made me fall in love with history in general. Since earning my degree in tourism, I have spent 29 years in the travel industry. I have spent almost all of that time guiding people through my homeland. When I realized that OAT would allow me to show travelers my country in the most detailed way, and perhaps change how they saw Egypt, I embraced the opportunity. Since then, I’ve been busy sharing my love of archaeology with our travelers and helping them meet the local people. Taking them to places that Americans don’t go and helping them to experience the Egyptian lifestyle are experiences never to be forgotten.
