Photos From Our Travelers
On location in Asia
Here’s how OAT travelers have captured moments of discovery, beauty, friendship, and fun on previous departures of our Imperial China, Tibet & the Yangtze River adventure. We hope these will evoke special travel memories and inspire you to submit your own favorite OAT trip photos.
“Chengdu rush hour.” Nicely framed by their cyclo-rickshaw, David and Donna Nord, 2-time travelers from San Luis Obispo, California, look back for a portrait by Sharon Steele, 12-time traveler from Springfield, Oregon.
Stretching for 1,200 miles and traversing terrain from sea level to 1,600 feet, the Great Wall of China is one of life’s “must-see” travel destinations. Ronald Schaefer, 5-time traveler from Wadsworth, Ohio, let his lens go the distance.
The star attraction here, clearly, is the OAT traveler, as young schoolchildren play paparazzi. Photographer Jenny Uehiein, 7-time traveler from Cincinnati, Ohio, “observes” through her own viewfinder.
At the Giant Panda Sanctuary near Chengdu, China, Wendy Sanborne, 7-time traveler from Scottsdale, Arizona, came across these giant pandas indulging in an afternoon feast of bamboo shoots.
A picture within a picture ... These Tibetan women are enjoying a digital portrait of themselves in a Lhasa town square. Meanwhile, photographer and traveler Tamera Minnick, of Grand Junction, Colorado, gives us a different angle.
