We’ll have four full days to discover the beautiful seaside city of Cartagena, whose well-preserved Ciudad Amurallada (Walled City) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During our stay in Bogota, we’ll explore La Candelaria—the city’s Old Town—taking in the charming Colonial architecture as we stroll its bustling streets.
Our small group will have many opportunities to meet the warm and friendly people of Colombia throughout our adventure, as we visit them in local markets, village schools, and even enjoy a meal at a local family's home.
Just outside Santa Marta, on Colombia's Caribbean Coast, is Tayrona National Park, whose white-sand beaches, lush rain forests, and scenic mountainsides we'll explore on a guided tour.
While in Cartagena, we'll visit the Castillo de San Felipe—a massive Spanish Colonial fortress situated on a hilltop between Cartagena's Old Town and harbor, providing commanding panoramic views of the city.
