Customize your trip

With our True Choice Program, you can choose to stay longer before or after your trip on your own, or combine two adventures to maximize your value. Here are more ways to create the OAT adventure that’s right for you:

  • Choose our standard air routing, or work with us to select the airline and routing you prefer
  • Make your own international flight arrangements directly with the airline, applying frequent flyer miles if available
  • Stay overnight in a connecting city before or after your trip
  • Request to arrive a few days early to get a fresh start on your adventure
  • Choose to “break away” before or after your trip, spending additional days or weeks on your own
  • Extend your adventure with our optional pre- and post-trip extensions
  • Combine your choice of OAT adventures to maximize your value
  • Upgrade to business or premium economy class

The air options listed above will involve an additional fee of $100 per person for confirmed requests (as well as incremental airfare costs based on your specific choice). This service fee will be waived for Inner Circle/Sir Edmund Hillary Club members.

Or, when you make your reservation, you can choose our standard air routing, for which approximate travel times are shown below.

Optional Tours

Please note: Optional tour prices listed are U.S. dollar estimates determined at the time of publication and are subject to change. Optional tours may vary.

Day 4:
Hot-Air Balloon Ride over Vilnius $140 per person

This morning, we have a rare opportunity to witness Vilnius from a hot-air balloon. Unlike most major cities, which have congested skies, the lack of air traffic in Vilnius leaves the sky open for more personal adventures. We’ll take in the city from a completely different perspective, getting a bird’s-eye view of the medieval city’s diverse architecture—including Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic styles—plus Vilnius Park, the Neris River, and the town’s 65 churches.

Day 14:
Russian Ballet Performance $95 per person

Witness one of St. Petersburg’s greatest contributions to the arts when we attend a ballet performance. Home to one of the most distinguished and influential ballet schools in the world, St. Petersburg is where the Russian style of ballet was developed, and for more than 300 years has been the training ground for some of the world’s most famous ballet dancers, such as Mikhail Baryshnikov and George Balanchine, founder of the New York City Ballet.

Day 14:
Russian Folk Show $75 per person

Join us for an evening of folk show performance in the magnificent Concert Hall of Nikolaevsky Palace. You’ll enjoy dances and songs from different provinces of Russia represented by four professional folk groups. This two-hour show consists of two parts including a break, during which you’ll be offered tempting local refreshments. You’ll gain a new appreciation for Russian culture and the traditions that make it unique.

Please note: Our optional Russian Folk Show is offered only when the Russian Ballet optional tour is not available.

Day 15:
Catherine Palace $85 per person

We set out for a personal tour of the grand Catherine Palace, named for Catherine I. The Baroque palace fell out of royal favor so quickly that its ostentatious styling remained frozen in the 18th century. We’ll walk the grounds, and see the Grand Hall of Mirrors and Marble Staircase. We'll also explore the Amber Room; the legendary amber and gold-leaf walls were looted by the Nazis in World War II, but the room has since been restored to its original opulence.
