If you’ve watched our new Egypt video, you might remember that I couldn’t see the pyramids because it was pitch dark when I arrived. I was amused to read that Marty P. had a similar experience—only she was rewarded a bit sooner than I was with a phenomenal view.
Dear Harriet,
I just got done watching the new video of Egypt. What great memories it brought back from one of my favorite countries that I have visited with OAT.
I will never forget that when we finally arrived in Cairo it was dark and after a long flight we were looking forward to a great place to rest. As my mom put together this trip all of us knew each other so it made it more fun. When we were driving from that airport out to our hotel I was looking out and I saw a shadow of a pyramid. I had said, “Oh, look, there’s a pyramid!” Of course everyone said that there was no pyramid out there and it was because I was tired. However, our wonderful guide Hassan said that I was indeed correct that they are out there. When we arrived at our hotel, received our room keys and went to the room to await our luggage and finally walking up the path to our welcome drink all of a sudden as if on cue the light of the pyramids came on! What a beautiful site to behold!
Egypt is absolutely a wonderful country with such great, friendly people. Thank you for such wonderful trips as I will never travel with anyone else!
